ANNE REID

Anne Reid is a British BAFTA-nominated actress who has appeared in many TV programmes and films. Anne played the first wife of Ken Barlow in Coronation Street. She is also very famous for providing the voice of the character Wendolene in the Wallace and Gromit short A Close Shave, along with the legendary actor Peter Sallis. More recently, she has appeared in the show Ladies of Letters with Maureen Lipman. She is additionally remembered for her role as Jean in Victoria Wood's sitcom dinnerLadies, in 1998. She has also been in Dr Who, Upstairs Downstairs and Shameless.
